18th Feb 2011- Today GHS-IMR was graced by the presence of International academia luminaries such as Prof. Jane Harrington, Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of Bristol Law School, UK, Prof. Rajendra Shirole, Director MBA Program, Kent Business School, and University of Kent, UK. Dr. Fiona Jordon, Director Bristol Business School, University of the West of England, U.K., Dr. Gour C. Saha, Dean, School of Management, ITM University, Gurgaon, Dr. Ram B. Mishra, Professor Management and Information Systems,  Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ, USA. They all were present for the two day International Management Conference 2011.

Director, Prof. Prithvi Yadav welcomed and introduced the guests to the audience. The mood of the conference was brought fore by the Keynote address of Prof. Jane Harrington. In her address she examined the importance and size of the global higher education sector, exploring how far it can be described as a global sector, and examining the challenges that confront it as it seeks to become global; an imperative to achieve for students as they become our business leaders of the future. She listed the challenges, opportunities and options for a global higher education sector. Her session concluded with a discussion of technology enhanced learning and its potential to cross national boundaries, challenge pedagogy and transform the landscape of higher education.

The dignitaries unveiled the Monograph of research papers to be presented in two days seminar.

The key note address was, followed by the two technical sessions- one on Financial Analysis & Markets chaired by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Director IBM, CSJM University Kanpur, and second on Marketing and Customer Orientation chaired by Dr. Fiona Jordan.

In the evening session started with Financial Analysis & Markets session-2 chaired by Prof. Jane Harrington and concurrently the session on Technology Driven Approaches chaired by Prof. Rajendra Shirole took place.

Around 26 research papers were presented on day one. Presenters from 10 colleges presented on the three themes.  

Conference associate chairpersons Dr. Shekhar Trivedi and Prof. Somil Mishra informed the gathering that the papers shortlisted during the conference will be published in and international journal and later it will be compiled in the form of a book.
